A diet limits the amount of carbs; for instance it recommends a diet for less than 20 net grams a day1.
A lot of vegetables can be consumed, even when adding some colorful peppers and tomatoes, until hitting 20 grams net carbs. Approximately 20 ounces of vegetable – more than half a kilo – full of other nutrients (guide on low carbon vegetables).
At the other side, only a half of the burger bun will contain 20 g of carbohydrates, which contributes the entire day's carbohydrates to a diet. Standard bread is not an option in this situation. Yet low-carbon breads are much lower in carbohydrates.
20 grams of carbs in high-carb foods
There is only one big piece of potato with 20 g of carbohydrates. Like half a big hamburger bun. Or any rice or pasta bites.
These foods can basically not be included in a diet, and can be used in a more moderate diet only in minimal quantities – if any.
Cauliflower rice may substitute for rice, and coli flowers may substitute potato mash. Check out our pasta or just spiralize a courgette for a pasta choice.

20 grams of carbs in lower-carb foods
It takes an immense amount of effort to hit 20 grams of carbs by eating just spinach (the lowest right plate). You can eat approximately three pounds (1.5 kilograms) of spinach with 1.4 g of digestible carbs per 100 g. Please remember that it's even better than above, it's just the whole spinach that could be put on the platter!

and berries are medium low in oil, so you will need to keep them under 20 grams every day with a bit of care.
50 grams of carbs in high-carb foods
You can also use up to 50 gramms of carbohydrate to complement a little more broadening bread , pasta, rices or potatoes.
It takes little – three big pumpkins or three pieces of bread, for example.
50 grams of carbs in low-carb foods
It's a joke if you should only eat 50 grams of fruits , or berries.
Really low-carb foods
