- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup ketchup (or BBQ sauce)
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan. Spread the ketchup or BBQ on top of the loaf.
Bake the meatloaf for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Let the meatloaf cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
